The Place of Courage in a Believer's Sojourn

The journey of a believer is not complete without courage. Courage is the driving force that makes us take bold moves, even when it feels uncomfortable. In this post, we will delve into the specific type of courage the Lord is showing us – the courage to transition into a new season of our lives.

We have been declared qualified, all doors are open and all things have been exposed before us. We are now able to perceive these things intelligently and identify what should be done and what should not. It is now time for action. However, many people are where they are in life, not because doors did not open, but because embracing change is difficult. The devil often makes our present look normal, making it comfortable and causing us to delay our moves.

As believers, we cannot plan our lives better than God. We cannot take care of our lives better than God, nor can we watch over our lives better than God. The energy we use to hold on to our present is actually more than what is required to launch us into the new. The cost of sustaining this present life is actually more expensive than what God is calling us into.

1 Peter 5:7 says, "Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully." God cares for us affectionately and watchfully. We should surrender all to Jesus, and trust that He will take care of us.

This year is a year of great opportunities, and we should pray in advance for the required changes we may have to make. Psalms 32:8-9 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you."

Pray for yourself.

  • A signal is enough for me oh God.

  • I have understanding in the name of Jesus.

  • I yield easily to your leading in the name of Jesus.

  • I do not overstay my welcome in any season of my life.

  • As you indicate, I move in the name of Jesus.

In conclusion, courage is essential in the journey of a believer. We have been declared qualified, and all doors are open. It is time for action, but embracing change can be difficult. By casting our cares onto God and yielding easily to His leading, we can embrace the change He shows us and move into a new season of our lives. Pray for yourself in advance, asking for understanding and yielding easily to God's leading.
