Spreading to reign

Welcome to the final edition of Igniting Your Day for 2022. Today, we will be focusing on the topic of opportunities and how to maximize them.

According to what the Lord has shown me, 2023 is going to be a year of unprecedented opportunities. These opportunities will revolutionize the way things are done and bring new possibilities to the forefront. They will also bring about faster results and allow some people who were previously jobless to start making more money than those who were hardworking. Small efforts will yield huge returns for many people, fundamentally changing the way we think about making money.

But the key to maximizing these opportunities is not just praying for them, it also involves spreading ourselves enough to be able to take them. This means setting ourselves up in a great variety of ways in order to reach, fit, and take these opportunities. Only then can we truly maximize them.

The Bible speaks about a young king named Jotham, who became the king of Judah at the age of 25 and reigned for 16 years. 2 Chronicles 27:6 tells us that Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the Lord. The Hebrew word for "prepare" in this verse, "kun," means to set oneself up in a great variety of applications. This is what we should be focusing on in prayer as we close out 2022.

To effectively spread ourselves and maximize opportunities, we need to make sure that we don't have any limitations holding us back. As Matthew 7:3-5 reminds us, we must first remove the plank from our own eye before we can clearly see to remove the speck from our brother's eye. If we have a plank in our eye, we will not be able to see anything clearly or correctly. This means that until we remove any limitations in our own lives, our assessments of global trends, people's needs, and gaps in our circle of influence will not be accurate.

1 John 1:5 tells us that God is light, and in Luke 11:34-36, Jesus compares our eye to a lamp that provides light for our body. When our eye is healthy, our whole body is filled with light, but when it is unhealthy, our body is filled with darkness. We must make sure that the light we think we have is not actually darkness, and if we are filled with light with no dark corners, our whole life will be radiant.

In summary, 2023 is going to be a year of incredible opportunities, and the key to maximizing these opportunities is to spread ourselves enough to be able to reach, fit, and take them. But before we can do this, we must first remove any limitations in our own lives. Let's focus on these points in prayer as we close out 2022 and prepare for the year ahead. I spread to reign.
