I am honourable

Today, we explore the honor that reliability in our words brings. This is highlighted in the Bible. The Bible tells us of how the Lord was with Samuel such that his words never fell to the ground (1 Samuel 3:19 NKJV). In another place, he was deemed honorable because all that he says comes to pass. Another passage from 1 Samuel 9:6 says "there is a man of God, and he is an honorable man; all that he says surely comes to pass."

It's important to note that this honor is not connected to only status or social standing. This is because the Bible also talks about a respected person whose words were converted to foolishness. In 2 Samuel 15:31, it says "someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O LORD, I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!” And it was so."

Remember that the Lord is the one who gives us the ability to speak with wisdom and power. Isaiah 49:2 TPT, says "He gives me words that pierce and penetrate." Additionally, Luke 21:15 NKJV says "I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist."

God said to Moses in Exodus 4:11-12 "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say."

With this in mind, we can declare that "my words bring me honor this year in the name of Jesus." We can also declare that "the Lord is not just with me this year, the Lord is with my mouth as he teaches me what to say everywhere I go in the name of Jesus."

As we go through this year, let us remember that our words have the power to bring us honor and that the Lord is with us to guide us in what we say. Declare that "no situation is so tough, no condition is so thick, no heart is so stony, my words penetrate in the name of Jesus."

In closing, let us pray:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the power of our words and the honor that comes with reliability. Help us to speak with wisdom and power, knowing that you are with us to guide us in what we say. We declare that no situation is too tough, no condition is too thick, and no heart is too stony for our words to penetrate in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Join me in my prayers today.
