Finding Direction: The Importance of Knowing Where to Go

When you have been declared qualified and all doors are open to you, it is important to have direction. Being qualified means you have no restrictions and can now access your land of opportunities. But knowing where to go with your qualification and built capacity is key to making the most of it.

As believers, we are told in Psalm 84:11 that no good thing will be withheld from us. However, having access to good things and actually profiting from them are two different things. As Isaiah 48:17 says, "The Lord will teach you to profit and lead you by the way you should go."

We are not just survivors, but a royal priesthood, the effulgence of God's glory, and joint heirs with Christ. This means our game is stepped up and we should settle only for profitable opportunities. The same God who says no good thing will be withheld from us is also saying that He will teach us what is profitable for us and show us where to go. So, why settle for less?

To take advantage of this, we need an improved perception. An improved perception helps us recognize what is not obvious. We must first exercise mastery over what is shown before conquering what is not shown.

The preferences of God for you may not always come in obvious appearances, as demonstrated in 1 Kings 19:11-13 when He chose to be in a still small voice rather than in the wind, earthquake, or fire. To find profitable directions, we must be attuned to the slightest signals by reason of heightened perceptions.

While profitable things may come in not-so-obvious packages, the Bible gives us guidance on this matter. Hebrews 4:13 NKJV says "And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account". The TPT (The Passion Translation) uses a collection of more relatable words:

Hebrews 4:13 (TPT)

13 There is not one person who can hide their thoughts from God, for nothing that we do remains a secret, and nothing created is concealed, but everything is exposed and defenceless before his eyes, to whom we must render an account.

Did you see that? Exposed and defenceless!

Pray for yourself today

  • No matter how long and how well profitable directions have been concealed, they are naked, exposed and defenceless before you in Jesus' name.

  • Pray that once you show up anywhere, everything becomes exposed and defenceless to you in the name of Jesus.

  • Never again will you get deceived by anything or anyone in the name of Jesus.

  • As you progress by reason of the use of God’s word, all things become exposed and defenceless before you in the name of Jesus.

In conclusion, having direction is crucial to making the most of your qualifications and built capacities. As believers, we should settle only for profitable opportunities and have an improved perception to recognize them. Remember, the Lord will guide us and teach us to profit, taking advantage of our honour to search out what is profitable for us."
