Empowered by the Spirit: A Journey of Active Participation

Have you ever encountered someone who seemed to accomplish so much yet didn't appear to be exerting much effort? I had a revelation about this today and realized that the magnitude of their achievements was disproportionate to the physical efforts they put in. It was as if there was something beyond what I could see, translating their small actions into powerful results.

But, as we all know, revelations are not enough to drive action. That's why we must seek it in the word of God. In the book of Zechariah 4:1-7, the angel spoke to the prophet and asked him what he saw. The prophet described a lampstand with seven lamps and two olive trees by it. The angel then asked if he knew what these were, and the prophet replied that he did not. The angel then explained that this was the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit".

This verse is crucial because it tells us that we must make effort and work, but the results will not come from our own power or might. Instead, it is the Holy Spirit who will translate our efforts into prevailing power. The Lord told me during my meditation that my participation is required this time, more than ever before.

So, the Lord says, get involved in the process of what you want to achieve. If it's a 100-step process or a rigorous one, just participate. Make findings, register, start classes, prepare for exams, and so on. The Lord wants us to participate and make up our minds to do so, even if we have previously ruled ourselves out of certain things because we didn't think we had what it takes to sustain our commitment.

In Zechariah 4:9-10, the Lord tells us that our hands will lay the foundation and finish what we start, but the power will be His. We must also stay focused and ensure that our building is perfectly vertical, just like the plum line used in building. The Lord is scanning to and fro throughout the whole earth, and He is interested in seeing the plum line in our hand. At the end, we will be glad we participated.

Lastly, Zechariah 4:10 says "For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth." This verse tells us that even the small things are not despised by the Lord and that He rejoices to see the plum line in our hands. So, let's participate and keep building, stay focused, and trust that the Lord will translate our efforts into prevailing power."
